Confucius Museum is a provincial specialized modern museum constructed by Shandong provincial party committee and government, which aims at carrying out the serious speech spirits addressed by General Secretary of Xi Jinping during his inspection of Qufu, inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture represented by Confucianism. Confucius Museum is a class 1 public institution supervised by Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province. Its functions as below: to collect and gather all kinds of cultural relics related to Confucius and Confucianism, to carry out research, protection, exhibition and utilization of relics, to conduct propaganda, education and cultural exchange, to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture represented by Confucianism, and to achieve the development goal of collection center, research center and dissemination center of Confucius theories and Confucianism.
